Abstract

Voluntary tutoring for early childhood at the Rehobot Surabaya Good God Church Sunday School is a service initiative that aims to help the academic and spiritual development of children in the early age range. This program is designed to integrate Bible teaching with the basics of education, creating a fun and educational learning atmosphere. Through a love-based and independence-based learning approach, volunteers guide children in recognizing Christian moral and ethical values ​​while helping them in basic academic understanding, such as reading, writing, and arithmetic. This implementation aims to identify the benefits of this voluntary tutoring program in shaping children's character from an early age and explore its influence on their intellectual and spiritual development. The research methods used include participant observation and interviews with volunteers, parents, and participating children. The results of the study show that this program not only helps children in academic aspects, but also improves their understanding of love, independence, and Christian values, which play an important role in shaping their character.
